In the wake of COVID 19, one way it was worthwhile opportunity to deliver lesson through ICT because teaching and learning through ICT happened for the first time opening door to teachers and students to explore the world of ICT.  In fact, some of the children were never known of single online communication but with the practical trial and practice, now they are connected to multitudinous online communication. Irrespective of grade levels, our children are connected to online communication leaving them wider forum to review their own task besides revising the teaching documents shared to them time and again.

The online facilities used for teaching are we chat, messenger, Google classroom and telegram. Some of the online services were handy to our students but some were extremely challenging when users are lacking the usability knowledge and skills. This time, the children were grouped in telegram for pro in data cost.When online services take 100% data; it takes up 40% only.

Like every coin has two faces, online teaching and learning has advantages as well as disadvantages. It saves various resources. Despite saving resources like teaching learning materials, it saves time and energy of the teacher. One teaching note is liable for all the sections through copy and paste. Moreover, lesson plan and teaching materials are not required to prepare and a part of burden is minimized for teacher. While teaching in online, students could easily correspond the answers besides clearing the doubts promptly. Unlike, face to face teaching, every student feels comfortable to clear the doubts clearly. Furthermore, every student could view the task performed by individual friend and use the good ideas into their own work. It eases to manage the student and enhances mode of communication because even a shy and silent student becomes observant and attentive to communicate in this online lesson. Some children who would be dependent in the normal lesson become independent learners when there isn’t nearby friends to do copycat performance. Online lesson provides ample time for students to revisit and revise the lesson taught to them. It was painless for teacher to provide additional task to students.

Since online class is happening for the first time, lesson for first week was most challenging because it was very difficult to connect every individual child. Moreover, remoteness and poverty were another commonness problem to children. Some of parents whose lives were hand to mouth faced utmost difficulty to provide equal concern to their children. One of chaos was not able to make 100% attendance as some students do not constantly connect to online classes with data or net work problem. Some children never up online classes owing to domestic task. Especially, children are deprived of online classes during monsoon seasons because they to help their busying parents on farming work. One of the head aching tasks in online class is assessment part. With different quality of smart phone, students’ piece of task sent for evaluation would not be visible or having technical problems. To evaluate each assigned task is most difficult because it cannot be corrected like pen and paper. While using technology, it consumes more time unnecessarily because giving feedback on every individual takes bountiful time. Online class requires time management skills otherwise students easily procrastinate their and later on it becomes bulky. Thereby, some of task left unattended when teachers are not able to assess every task assigned to them. In such a way, quality of learning is declined. It also burdensome task to parents because parents have to enforce their children attend work despite being costly of data package.
